This project is a conceptual redesign of Dijon’s Absolutely album cover, reimagined through an experimental & contemporary lens while preserving the emotional feel of the original release. The design emphasizes texture, intimacy, and rhythm. Reflecting Dijon's raw, genre-bending sound and sentimental storytelling.

Bloom + Spine is a botanical fragrance house also exploring themes growth through structure and experimentation. Each scent examines the architecture of botanicals, stem, spine, bloom, root contrasting fluidity with resiliency. For the curious and unconventional, fragrance becomes a medium for exploration.

From religion, art to expression, they serve as powerful tools of storytelling, identity, and interaction.

Heaven Belongs To You Personal Zine / Digital Art2024

Heaven Belongs to You is a personal zine that explores the beauty and transience of life through a bold, digital-psychedelic aesthetic. Combining collages of personal experiences, street art, and nature, the zine reflects on the extraordinary meaning found in ordinary moments. A gradual shift from vibrant, saturated visuals to muted, desaturated tones underscores the theme of life's impermanence and gratitude.

This project demonstrates expertise in editorial design, visual storytelling, and experimental image-making, employing both digital and conceptual approaches to deliver a thought-provoking narrative.

Snapchat - Snap Design AcademyInternship - Visual Design & UX/UI2025

Selected as 1 of 60 scholars nationwide for Snap’s design program focused on product, motion, and brand experience. Collaborated with Snap designers to develop culturally relevant, youth-centered work and co-led a prototype presented to executive leadership. 

Redesigned Snapchat’s School Communities feature to improve discoverability, personalization, and safety for marginalized students through a tag-based system and 1:1 connections, informed by DEI research with Rainbow Lab. Created UX flows, wireframes, and Figma prototypes for key features including events and group suggestions aligned with Snapchat’s standards.

Magazine for Carhartt WIP’s 2023 collections, combining storytelling and contemporary elements to highlight the brand’s fusion of workwear with streetwear.

Featuring Fall/Winter’s Solid Structures and IAB Studios, alongside Spring/Summer’s Frontier and Awake NY collaborations, the project captures Carhartt WIP’s evolution through innovative partnerships and design.

Inspired by the sun’s celestial path, the event features deep but electric beats, light installations, and kinetic art, fostering a creative community united by sustainability and innovation.

Thomas Phan is a Vietnamese-American graphic designer with an Associates degree in Communication Arts from Pasadena City College.  He’s currently pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design at ArtCenter College of Art and Design.
